Job Summary

First Farmers & Merchants Bank is seeking a motivated and creative marketing intern to join our dynamic team. This three-to-six-month internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including digital marketing, social media management, and content creation. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and contribute to our marketing initiatives while developing their skills in a professional environment.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
• Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, community pages and email communications.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Support the team in organizing and executing promotional events and activities.
• Analyze campaign performance and provide insights for improvement.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications 

• Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
• Familiarity with content creation and social media management.
• Previous internship or work experience in marketing is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• A passion for marketing and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or sit for long periods of time.

Job Type

This is a part-time position at our Cannon Falls Operation center location. Part-time hours are approximately 12-25 hours/week. The internship is expected to be three to six months in length.

Education and Experience

• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program related to marketing or a similar field.
• Previous coursework or projects related to marketing, digital media, or communications is preferred.
• Experience with internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work in a marketing capacity is a plus.
